You also may use your 2019 income for the Child Tax Credit if your 2019 earned income was more than your 2020 earned income. If your 2020 income was more than your 2019 income then you cannot use the 2019 income.
I don't get asked the question if I want to use my 2019 taxes. Below is the message I get
"With 3 qualifying dependents and a Married Filing Jointly filing status, your modified adjusted gross income must be less than $520,000 in order to qualify for this credit. Since your rounded adjusted gross income of $558,000 is over this limit, you don't qualify."
Do I simply not qualify at all or am I doing something wrong? Thanks
Yes, you do not qualify because your 2020 income is too high.
