How do I amend my taxes from last year that I already filed, so I can add income that is not from employment?

I received money from my mother last year right before she passed away, and I completely forgot to claim it on my 2022 taxes. How do I amend my taxes and report this income?

How do I amend my taxes from last year that I already filed, so I can add income that is not from employment?

If that income was a gift you don’t have to report it since it is not taxed.

You don't pay tax on gifts you received.   She would report the gift if more than 16K; see the FAQ linked below.     I am sorry for your loss.
