Hello, I’m unable to find Form 8889 from 2022 and I filed my tax last year with Turbotax. Anyone would be able to help me find 8889 form of last year ? Thank you !

Sign in to your TurboTax account.  You will land on the Tax Home page.   Scroll all the way down to the last section, which is Your tax returns and documents.   Expand that section, click on 2022 and download a copy of your return.   You have to be signed in to the same account you used last year to file your return.

Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately, when I download my tax return of 2022 from TurboTax I get Form 1040 and IT-201 but I don’t have form 8889.. Would you mind helping me ?

When you logged into your old account, I assume that you see something like this Under Your Tax Returns and Documents:

On the lower right, see the reference to PDF ("Download/print return (PDF)"), Scoot down there and click on that line. This should give you a PDF document of your Online return in PDF.

Scroll down the list until you find your 8889. If you don't find one, then let's wonder if you made any input that would have triggered it.

Thank you for your help. I followed the steps and only got Form 1040 and IT-201. I need form 8889 to answer to those questions (see screenshot). Is there maybe another way to get the information in the screenshot ? Thank you again for your help.

OK, in your 2023 return, you came across a question: "What type of High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) did you have on December 1, 202?"

You did not realize that an HDHP is a specific type of health insurance policy, so the odds are you should have answered NONE. 

In 2022, did you have an HDHP policy? Did you have an HSA? If no to both questions, then you should have answered NONE and continued on, and you would never have been asked anything about an 8889 or a 5329 or anything.

OK, did you have an HSA in 2022?
