Has anyone received their 2022 Maryland refund yet?

I finally received my Maryland tax refund yesterday (3/8/22).  Now if only I would get my federal all would be copacetic.

If it says that it is processing, then that means that they are still working on your return. Since your return has been accepted, you will need to contact your state Department of Revenue for any questions regarding your refund. Please see this Help Article for contact information.

Refunds usually take about 21 days after the IRS has accepted your e-filed return. Although, sometimes it can take longer. The IRS is taking more than 21 days (and up to 90 to 120 days) to issue refunds for tax returns with the Recovery Rebate Credit, Earned Income Tax Credit and Additional Child Tax Credit. MY CONCERN IS MARYLAND STATE TAX REFUND NOT THE INTERAL REVENUE SERVICE. SERIOUSLY YOU SEE THE SAME QUESTIONS FROM TAX EXPERTS ON HERE ALL THE TIME.

I called on Tuesday and she said my refund was approved on the 22nd of February, they just haven't released the funds yet. So I have no idea when I'm supposed to get the money and why it's taking over 3 weeks for them to release the funds

and I received my federal refund around that time. So Maryland is taking forever

I have not received my refund. It says that it's been received but that its still processing. I have been in this boat since March 8th. It has NEVER taken this long in the past. Not sure what the hold up is.

I shouldn't have to contact any State Delegates or Congressmen about something that I've responsibly done all 2021, which was have taxes taken from my paychecks. 

This reminds me of what folks who were unemployed were having to deal with when calling Unemployment for days and weeks and months at a time.  

Dag, I almost feel like if I owed the state they would have contacted me already asking for payment in full or asking if I need a payment arrangement.

I haven't received my MD taxes yet either and it's been a while. I usually get mine back in 3 days but its taking forever this year.  I called they say the received it February 4th but still nothing. Juat says being processed.  When I called they couldn't tell me anything. I got federal already but state is taking FOREVER!!!

I understand your frustration but that has nothing to do with TurboTax that is the state that’s holding up your refund. I’ve used turbo tax for 12 years now and this is the first year my state has been delayed. I received a letter saying they’re conducting a review. It’s been a month now. I usually get Maryland state in 1-2 weeks!

I know it doesn’t have anything to do with TurboTax. I asked because my state was delayed and was wondering why! I have contacted the comptroller, and it’s called a Quality Review and could take up to 60 days from acceptance. Good luck!

Any update on your refund? I received the same letter on March 3rd and still no refund I received my federal refund last week. I haven’t heard from anyone from the state yet, at least I don’t think they’ve called. I haven’t had any messages.

My apologies, not sure if I replied to the wrong post. I was referring to the person who said they were still waiting on their state refund and would never use this service to file their taxes again because it was beyond ridiculous!

I got the same letter March 3rd! I figured I had gotten it because I literally just filed my 2020 in December and then did my 2021 in March. I have been doing it that way for the last 5 years or so for Xmas money but times are tough right now. I really hope it doesn’t take 60 days! I was trying to see if anyone who had gotten the same letter had gotten theirs yet.

I have been experiencing the exact same thing but in order to speak to a live person you just have to listen through the prompts and when asked to selected a option don't press any numbers when  given the option to do so because eventually you will be connected to a live person. Once I was able to speak to a live person they were no help at all, all they said was that my refund was still  processing and that it could take up to 60 days before a refund is issued because they claim that they are back logged. I thought this was ridiculous because my brother and his fiancé filed a week before I did and they received there State refund back in 2-3 days.  This is the first year I ever had any issued with my MD state taxes and to still be shown my refund is in processing at almost 3 weeks is crazy to me. Maybe I'll email them as another user suggested in order for them to speed up that process or at least make my tax return a priority.

My return was excepted 1/25/2022 and I am still waiting it has been saying processing for well over a month now. When I called they told me everything was fine they where just experiencing a delay🤔😒😑. This was after they sent me a letter telling me if I don't receive my refund within 30 days that meant it was a issue and I should contact them. But hey idk they really take there time with giving you your money but make sure they take theirs off the top before you even see your paycheck 😒🤷🏾‍♀️
