Quick update.

If you updated your direct deposit information on the IRS portal on 4-15, 16, 17, 18, 19 then your still waiting on a direct deposit date. there is a glitch in the IRS system. 

I checked this morning, still no direct deposit date for me. Call your local news, email the media etc bc the IRS isn't open. It's a shame.

So I'm an "updated my DD on 4/15" guy, still saying eligible, no payment date...still popping over on this thread daily to see if any of the other 4/15-18 people have had any updates.

I do have one question though - can anyone explain why this thread is listed as "Solved"?

Same here........ Added DD to Get my payment tool 04/15/2020, still do not understand how IRS did not have my info when they deposited my refund into the same account for years, anyways.... Still same status and we are pushing a month.... No change in status.... just eligible and no $$$.

@Tmom10 - I've had to read through probably 100 pages of comments, but I have seen a handful of people who said they updated on the 15th or 16th and received their payments. That actually makes me feel better, because I was sure there was a glitch in the system and our information was in a black hole somewhere.

Just curious if anyone who has been waiting these past 3 weeks gone back and entered their information in the non-filers section just to see if it made a difference?  I know if we filed 2018 and 2019 taxes we are not supposed to use it but would it make them look closer?

Yes my sister in law updated the afternoon of the 15th and she got her money. 

I did it the am and I’m stuck like all if you.  I talked to my US senator today and they are assigning me a case worker to try and work this 

I know others on the 16th and 17th in the same situation. So some got their money from those days and some didn’t. Something is clearly holding us up. 

for Those if you saying it’s cause you owe taxes etc.  that’s all bogus and not true!!! The only thing that is being garnished is Back child support. That’s it.  No other reason will they garnish. So stop your speculating and look at the faqs!

Hi OE316 just wondering where did you get this info from because this would be helpful if they can answer our calls directly and help us with our specific situations! Anyways I’m also one of the 15’ers who submitted DD info to get my payment tool and till this day may 7 still says pending payment date b to DD info below! Seriously why! But what sucks also my $7K 2019 tax refund is on hold due to non filling of my 2016 refund so I submitted my 2016 via paper return since you can’t efile a past return late March and verified they received it but now there not processing paper returns at this time so I can’t get my 2019 refund until they get back to work and process my 2016 which will the up to 6 weeks after they come back so they can release my 2019 this is crazy and I can’t even get my stimulus payment to hold me over because of whatever stupid glitch is going on and I need the money before our only and last vehicle gets repo for back payment for the last 3 months I’m behind as well as rent payments and etc. we need answers now this is ridiculous also I contacts my local state tax advocate to hell with my tax refund issue since you can file a claim with them to help expidite your issue and maybe get my 2019 refund sooner but they are also behind since they are only working over the phone. Someone please get us answers and help all of us who have entered our DD info get our stimulus payments if we’re eligible according to or get my payment status so please guys let’s get our payments now!

Guys... What we are doing is working! I was contacted by CNN this morning and they are working on getting a statement from the IRS and possibly publishing a story! Keep the traction going! Sign the petition and send your story to CNN. We will get answers soon enough!!! 🙂

Still no update, no change, no money.
