Hello,
I filled my taxes. I just received a W-2C form. It looks like that the original W-2 didn't have my employer's state ID number instead it had the wording (applied for) so the corrected information is the employer's state ID. Additionally, the state wages are now different by a penny. Do I need to amend my already filled return?

how did you successfully e-file the state without a tax id on the w-2. your options: 1) do nothing at the present. wait to see if you get a notice. 2) call the state and ask them what you should do.
Hello,
I do have my SSN. The original W-2 didn't have the Employer's state ID number. The W-2C has just added the Employer's state ID number. Everything else has remained the same except the state wages have gone down by a penny.
No. Keep it for your records. The one penny will not matter in your tax return calculations and neither will the state ID number.
Thank you.
