Filed my 2020 taxes on February 12th, was accepted on February 13th and we still have seen no refund and have had no communication. What is going on?

Also, we did not get the third stimulus. Everything says processing or eligible, but nothing.

Millions of tax payers are still waiting for their taxes to be processed and for their third stimulus payment. The IRS doesn't share your information with us so we can't tell you when your tax return will be processed or when you'll get your third stimulus payment.

The IRS will continue to issue third stimulus payments throughout the year as tax returns are processed.

Per IRS, they have around 12 million tax returns that have been caught in a processing backlog created by the pandemic, which shut down the IRS for a time. Americans should see their refunds in the coming months. "We would hope to be through this backlog by the summer," said IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig.

  • Keep checking the IRS Where's My Refund page to see if your refund status has been updated.

Click here for other reasons some returns take longer to process than others.

To be eligible for the third stimulus, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • Families earning less than $150,000 a year and individuals earning less than $75,000 a year should get the full $1,400 per person.
  • Families earning up to $160,000 per year and individuals earning up to $80,000 per year will receive prorated amounts.
  • One notable difference from the first two stimulus is that you will receive stimulus payments for all your dependents, including adult dependents and college students.
