First -- verify that your return has been filed and accepted --  then check the fed web site to see where you are in the process-

Check Your E-File Status on this Secure TurboTax website
https://turbotax.intuit.com/efile/efile_status_lookup.jsp
- It will show the date you transmitted your return and if it was accepted or rejected.
- Both your Federal and State will be listed separately if you filed both.
- It will tell you when you E-filed
- The electronic filing date

See the following TurboTax support article on checking your e-file status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1908859-how-do-i-look-up-the-status-of-my-e-filed-return

For the Feds:

http://www.irs.gov/Refunds/Where's-My-Refund-It's-Quick,-Easy,-and-Secure.

http://www.irs.gov/uac/When-Can-I-Expect-My-Refund%3F

If the return has been processing for more than 21 days then you can call the IRS …

Call the IRS:  1-800-829-1040  hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday

When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.

So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info).  Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.

Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".

Then press 3 "for all other questions."

Then press 2 "for all other questions."  It should then transfer you to an agent.

Or you can contact your local IRS office.  See this IRS website for local IRS offices - http://www.irs.gov/uac/Contact-Your-Local-IRS-Office-1

If it's been more than 90 days since the return was accepted  then you can ask for help from the Tax Payer Advocate office:

At the following IRS website, find the USA map and click on your state, and it will give you the number of your IRS Taxpayer Advocate.

http://www.irs.gov/uac/Contact-a-Local-Taxpayer-Advocate

If you are unsuccessful with the Taxpayer Advocate for your area, you can also try the special IRS phone number for the Taxpayer Advocate Service at 877-777-4778.

Federal Tak Return was accepted in February but my refund still has not been sent.

This may not be the same situation that you're in but maybe my situation will give you some answers. I also filed in February and my return was accepted in February. I had to file an injured spouse form along with my return. This supposedly adds 14 weeks onto your expected return time. I should have received my return at the end of May or beginning of June. After waiting until the third week of June, I contacted the IRS. It turns out that for some moronic reason, TurboTax decided to paper file my taxes in the middle of March. When you paper file with an injured spouse form, it takes sixteen weeks from your filing date before you get your return. I should have gotten my return this week. I still don't have one. I called the IRS again (which takes about 1-1/2 hours each time you call). Thanks to TurboTax making it look like I was trying to file my taxes twice, the IRS is more or less auditing me and I won't see my return until the middle of August at the earliest. If anyone reading this knows how to contact TurboTax directly through email please let me know. Every time I look in their contact page, it just directs me to a FAQ that is no help at all. After this screw up, I will not be using TurboTax next year. I use my return to take a short family vacation every summer. Otherwise, living paycheck to paycheck, I can't afford to do anything. So thanks TurboTax for ruining my and my family's summer this year.

There is absolutely NO WAY that TT can mail in any return ... only you can efile or print, ink sign & mail in the return.

Now if you efiled the return and then ALSO mailed in the return then it was you that double filed and confused the IRS so they are taking their time processing the return...   if it was NOT you then someone else filed a return using your SS# so wait for the IRS letter to come in the mail and/or contact the taxpayer advocate's office.

Great!  So either the IRS lied to me when they said they received a paper copy of my return or someone tried to file using my SSN.  Either way it's not a good situation.
