Fake checks from Intuit!

It’s a scam!!! I talked to the IRS. Intuit DOES NOT SEND TAX REFUNDS!  I Checked with cashing places and banks and they all said it was fake! I put the wrong account number on my tax forms with turbo tax and IRS sent the fund but then was rejected. So when I got that check in mail I thought wow that was fast. Turns out the IrS says it takes 5 weeks to get a paper check! Hope this helps.

Certain financial institutions aren't cashing some checks as they exceed the limits in place for the company.  In some situations, these checks are being referred to as fraudulent, however, they aren't.

Make sure the name on your check matches the name on your bank account. Try to go to your local bank to open an account so you can deposit the check. ‌Some banks will allow you to open an account but will retain a small portion of the deposit until the check clears.  

Another option is to find a bank that can cash large checks without any restrictions. If the bank has concerns with the validity of the check, they can contact Intuit directly at 1-800-206-1633.  A dedicated team is available for verification purposes.  Also, if the check is uncashed after 90 days, the check will be returned to the IRS.  Then you can work with the IRS to receive your tax return.

No you are are wrong! I spoke with IRS and they said it would only come from them and on the intuit check has NO watermark , nothing official. It’s a scam! They are trying to get your bank info when you deposit. My Bank of America rejected it. Walmart and cashing check place said it was fake !

Right, Intuit or Turbo Tax does not send your check.  Unless you are getting a refund for the fees.  Did you select to have the fees deducted from your federal refund?  Then it goes thought a 3rd party bank  (not Intuit) to take  the fees out and send you the rest.  If they couldn't deposit the rest of it then they will send you a check.  So could the check be from SBTPG?   Is the check for the right amount of your refund or minus the fees?

Yes I had the fees to be taken out of my refund check. Intuit sent me a check. No one will cash it.

Wondering the same thing. Had this check since February 10th and nobody will cash or accept it for deposit.  Came with intuit as the customer for a place call Cross River Bank. Been trying to get it canceled and a real one sent and several stories,a different story each time contact with intuit is made

@andyconda513 @ you have to call TT and speak with a supervisor and let them know your issue they will fill the form out so the irs will send you your refund and you will have to pay TT once you receive it . How long did it take to receive check after it was supposed to be dd ?

I've had multiple conversations with them still nothing done. I got the denied direct deposit from then on February 2nd and the check is dated February 5th. It arrived February 10th. No place will cash it and every time I talk with TT I get an email after saying my case is closed. Can't even log into TT and see my tax status because an oops something went wrong log out and try again message keeps coming up in

Bank of America cashed my check!!! Took a week and was out on hold!!!! Finally!!!!

@andyconda513  What state do you live in , I can confirm now that I got my check cashed that Turo had a dedicated line to verify checks . When you call ask to speak to a supervisor in relations , then explain to them your issue and they will transfer you to security to get it cashed . If you tell me your state / Area I will tell you which places in your area will cash your check same day no problems

I tried to get mine cashed at Walmart and they said no. I went to check cashing place and they said no. I deposited it into Bank of America and they rejected. Only because what I upload didn’t show account number clearly. It was folded and wrinkled. I submitted second time to Bank of America and it was on hold for exactly one week and it cleared!
