I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE IRS/STATE
TurboTax does not receive any information from the IRS or your state after your return was filed, so no one at TurboTax knows about a letter you received from the IRS or the state.

I GOT A LETTER FROM THE IRS

TurboTax has a special phone number for help with IRS/state tax letters, which will be easier than going through regular Customer Support. At the page below, click on the blue button that says "Get Help from TurboTax Support". Then it will ask you what tax year is your letter. Then it will ask you what the letter concerns. Then it will show you the phone number during posted business hours.
A 1040ES was sent with estimated payments so is the IRS asking for proof of payment of 2020 estimated payments ? Did you make them ? Did you apply any of the 2019 refund to the 2020 estimates ?
Call the number on the notice for more clarification and review your return carefully.
Thanks, I found out that the if statement in the letter which did not apply to me but referenced Schedule A, line 11 was what they were asking for. It was not clear that this was the main reason for the letter. I sent them documentation to say that I did not do what they were asking about. Thanks for the copies of the letters that come from the IRS.
