Amount paid would be a TAX DUE you paid on the original return. Not your refund.
Thank you, for replying so quickly. How do I figure out the amount I paid then?
Look at your original return and your bank statement or credit card to see how much you paid. If you had a tax due you should have paid it. In fact you should not amend until you get the first refund or paid the tax due.
also it's probably to early to file an amended tsate return. generally you need to wait to actually get your refund The potential issue is that if the state changes something your original state return may need changes so it ends up reflecting the actual state refund
