Direct Pay question

Filing jointly, what happens if the second SSN(spouse) on the return is used for tax payments as opposed to the first SSN on the return? Is this something that would be easy to fix and has anyone encountered this before anywhere?

Direct Pay question

Did you pay the IRS directly online?  I don't think it will be a problem.  As long as you picked the right payment and year.

Direct Pay question

When you file a joint return all payments made by either spouse gets entered on the joint return so it make no difference whose SS# makes the payment.  As mentioned above make sure you indicate the correct year and reason in the online system.
