If you have already e-filed or mailed in your return, you are not able to make any changes to your direct deposit information. If your financial institution rejects the deposit, the government will mail your refund check to the address listed on your tax return..

But what happens if your address is also wrong along with the account number for my direct deposit?

You will need to follow the prompts in order to speak to an IRS agent. There is a high call volume this time of year.
When calling the IRS do NOT choose Option 1.
Choose Option 2 after you choose the language.
Then Press 1
Then Press 3
Then Press 2, it will then transfer you to an agent.

@CassLO Thanks. I did try calling the IRS, but their offices are closed and its only operating on an automated system. So I am assuming that there is nothing else I can do until the offices open back up?
