DependentsModifiedAGIAmt has non-zero value, must have dependents and their SSN reported on form 1040. But my son is not on my return. How to fix?

We have health insurance via Covered California. I entered my son's income on the dialog after form 8962 . My son files his own return. The error above is returned during the complete check. How can I resolve this problem?

A workaround for this error is to return to the My Info section and add your son as your dependent.  As you go through the follow-up questions, your answers will result in him NOT being able to be claimed as a dependent.  However, it should save his name and SSN as a non-dependent.  

You may need to delete the 8962 and generate a new one after you add him as your dependent.
