Can I e-file an amended federal return?

Turbo Tax appears to say both yes and no.

It depends which year you want to amend whether or not the amended return can be e-filed.  Additionally, depending on what is being amended, the return may only be printed and mailed.

The 2023 amended tax return is eligible for e-filing if the original return was e-filed.
