Would you mind sharing which phone number did you use to speak with an actual IRS person?
I don't know how to do a separate post. YES, you can get a live person, IF you are willing to wait about 3 hours. My brother did. We did it the unconventional way by calling the live person hotline for the Covid Economic Impact Payment. They hired supposedly 3,500 people to answer directly for the EIP payments. From there, ask for a live person for your IRS refund. They will tell you they can't see that info from their end and that you are calling the wrong number. Just explain that you can't do it through the traditional line because of it circumventing the access to choosing a live person. Whether or not you're calling about it- say it's about a refund owed that hasn't been paid or that you have a pending refund with no date set..if the rep is nice enough they will connect you. It took a total of 3 hours including wait time for an EIP rep to answer our call. He got his answer, which is that they are holding his refund because he didn't file a 2015 tax form. How crazy is that?
We called 9199835...just add 800. Bc its an 800 Hotline.
It will be around June 1 before the employee get back to their jobs
To fix the back logs they have going on
The last two years since my husband and I got married we have filed jointly with injured spouse and they took all our taxes last year for my back child support they ended up fixing the mistake and we got a refund in August. They took all of our stimulus money even my husband and daughters. We had the proper paperwork filed, I went ahead and sent another copy of our forms but here we are still waiting on taxes and stimulus money.
I talked to a text advocate in Austin Texas they seem to answer their but they could not help me they said I would have to talk to the IRS imagine that, I filed my taxes on February 7th and it's still being processed tax advocate told me that H&R Block and TurboTax did not share account information with the IRS but they think they got it figured out evidently they don't
I had the same thing happen I was told that the agency that did the stimulus checks did not have access to the IRS system so they didn't know about the injured spouse forms. For me mine my husband and my two childrens money all went to the child support even though I did an injured spouse this year and last. I was told the IRS is trying to figure out how to fix this. I tried reaching out to weveral news outlets to bring attention to this issue but no one took the story.
I don't know if this helps any but trust me u have someone who knows exactly how u feel I wasn't working long enough before this, and am loosing things and I have 6 kids and haven't had any taxes, stimulus or nothing I feel alone and watching my family loose everything so trust me u are in my prayers and I verified March 13th and they said their system kicked me out.
I filed around 16th of april n my status still the same now do they file ta taxes for you or do i have to download it then send it im confused
It’s [phone number removed] Be careful. Turbo has been deleting these numbers. Good luck. I tried a few times, NO LUCK!!!! Truly disgusted here.
Send me an email I’ll give it to you that way. [email address removed]
We filed with TurboTax in January..and we still haven't received our refund!
Turbo tax took their "fees" out of our account that was supposed to be taken out when the refund was direct deposited... leaving us to pay insufficient funds fee with our bank. Ended up costing us more than what we owed bc turbo tax took it out when it wasn't supposed to be taken out till the refund was deposited.
