so I filed my tax return because I did work for two months last year before I went on leave for my pregnancy
I file my tax return yesterday and now receive my 1099G in the mail today
so what can I do to fix this? I looked online and it says to wait till I get my amount and then request an amendment and pay whatever I have to pay back to IRS
also I am not working at this time. I only worked for two months last year, and I already filed my W-2s

Are you saying you e-filed your 2025 return because many forms, worksheets and programming have not been finalized? If needed or used, e-filing should not be possible. However, if you did successfully e-file, the return is now sitting on a Turbotax computer until the IRS actually opens e-filing. This usually occurs during the last week of January. However, the IRS has not officially announced a date for 2025 returns. Some sites warn it may not be until mid-February. Once submitted to the IRS, within a few days, you should get an email saying either accepted or rejected. If rejected, you can fix it and resubmit. If accepted, you'll have to wait until you get your refund and then file an amended return. Turbotax will suggest refunds take about 3 weeks from e-filing, but the actual timing varies from return to return
note for next year that most tax reporting forms (W-2s, 1099s, etc) don't have to be sent out until the end of January.
@Srojas01 You filed for 2025? How did you file? It is too early to submit a 2025 return. Turbo Tax hasn't started taking returns yet and the IRS won't start accepted returns until late January. Does it say you submitted it? Did you get any emails back? The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.
And that's the main reason why you shouldn't file early. You may get other tax forms you weren't expecting or forgot about. They have until Jan 31 to send you any W2 or 1099 forms. And some 1099 forms for investments won't come out until February.
