NY state requires e-filed returns, but when I submitted everything (and paid the $40 fee) through Turbotax, it told me I have to mail the NYS return. What do I do?

Mail in your NY return.

The instructions for Form IT-201 state: "You must e-file if your software allows you to e-file your return." Something in your NY return prohibits e-filing.

If TurboTax is telling you to mail in your New York return, you can do so with peace of mind.
