Can I change my direct deposit option once my return as been accepted ?

No. Once your return is filed and accepted by the IRS, the payment method you selected for your refund can't be changed. Basically, it's done.

Now if you selected direct deposit and it's rejected back to the IRS for any reason (wrong account number, name not on account, etc.) then at that point the IRS will cut a paper check and mail it to the address on the return.
