Hello, I did an e-file on 3/7/17 and have yet to have the IRS to accept it. Is there something wrong? Why haven't I heard anything or been notified?

You should have received an email from TurboTax stating your return was "accepted", meaning your return was successfully sent to the IRS to be processed. Once your return has been accepted (received) by the government, they take over the refund status update duties, since they hold the purse strings. Your status on TurboTax will stay as "accepted".

Once the IRS begins to process your return, it can take up to 21 days to fully process and issue your refund. Many different factors can affect the timing of your refund after they receive your return. Use the following information to follow the status of your return with the IRS.

Once they start processing your return, the Where's My Refund?  tool includes a tracker that displays progress through 3 stages: (1) Return Received, (2) Refund Approved, and (3) Refund Sent. It also provides an actual personalized refund date as soon as the IRS processes your tax return and approves your refund. It doesn't show information about amended returns.

Hope this helps!

The email would have been from TurboTax stating we accepted your return which means we then submitted your return to the IRS. Once they receive your return from us, they then take over the updating duties on the progress of your return. Keep checking the IRS website, they will eventually have your status updated and then begin to show you the stages of your return.
