No document number on my New York temporary driver's license

I can't finish filing my taxes on Turbotax without putting in the document number from my New York driver's license.  But I have only a temporary license and there is no document number.  What do I do?

Since you do not actually have a valid driver's license to enter. you can try skipping that screen altogether.  The IRS does not require a drivers license for you to e-file.   If NY is picky and will not allow you to file without  a DL then you will have to mail the return to NY.
