NYS Form IT201:
Line 29 is showing a $ 20,000 subtraction, but I have not entered any income that is eligible for this subtraction. Any way to manually get rid of this? (Cannot delete the prepopulated $20,000 entry.) I have rechecked my Federal and state entires.
Line 26 is correct and subtracts my eligible NY pension.
The extra (incorrect) subtraction on Line 29 causes the final total to show that I have negative income.
I suspect this is a flaw in Turbo tax software which means I must print out the forms to hand correct.

I recommend going back through the state interview section of the program. Make sure you did not enter the amount as an adjustment in the state interview section. This may result in the amount being deducted from the state return twice.
Thank you for responding. As far as I can tell my entires are correct and on the correct lines. I do not have any income or distributions that would qualify for the $20,000 pension and annuity exclusion that appears spontaneously on line 29. The software is adding this $20,000 to the correct amount on line 26 for the line 32 total. Then subtracts line 32 from line 24, giving a negative income on line 33 (line 32 is larger than line 24). The software will not allow me to delete the $20,000 from line 29.

I am having the exact same issue. The software is adding $20,000 to line 29. Let's get this fixed, please!
If you aren't able to delete the amount from line 29, you can start over from scratch. See our FAQ on how you can Clear and start over.
That's a pretty poor answer, as this is happening to more than one person. It's obviously a glitch. When will updates be released?
Also, your link it for the online version of TurboTax. I'm using the CD/Download version.
Since you are using the desktop version of Turbo Tax, you can click on "Check for Updates" and update your software if needed. If that doesn't work you can manually update your software.
