Name is wrong on my w2

My first name is spelled wrong on my W2.  My employer is telling me that it will take 8-10 weeks to fix.  I called the IRS 800 number but there is no option for this.  Any ideas??  Should I go ahead and file.  The deadline will be here before 8-10 weeks.  Help!!!!!

Is the SSN correct?   Just go ahead and file.   The IRS only looks at the first four letters.
