Your question is not clear.   We cannot see your tax return or see any of your information.    You were supposed to enter your W-2 into the federal return.   The state information is in boxes 15, 16 and 17 of your W-2.   That information flows from the federal return to the state return.   Check to see what you entered when you entered your W-2 into the federal software.

Please clarify exactly what amount was doubled and exactly where you see the correct amount and the double amount. Give the specific form number and the line number or box number on the form where you see the correct amount and the double amount, and give the exact amounts. If you are looking at screens in TurboTax, not the actual tax forms, tell us the exact heading or title on the screen and the exact descriptions of the two amounts. Also be sure to tell us what state you are in.

You do not normally get a separate "state W-2." The federal and state information is all on one W-2. You have to enter all of the federal and state information from the W-2 in the federal section of TurboTax. If you are saying that the state wages in box 16 of your W-2 are double the federal wages in box 1 of the W-2, that is probably an error by your employer. You would have to get the employer to issue a corrected W-2.

Have you already filed your tax returns with the doubled amount?

Did you get a separate W2?   Maybe this will help…..

If the EIN number in box b is the same and you work in more than 1 state or city, sometimes they will give you another W2 with the extra state information on it and the top part the same or not filled in.  If this is the case, list one W-2 but include both state or local  taxes on it.  It will let you type in more than one line for boxes 15-20.  Don't add the boxes together.

Same for boxes 12 & 14 if there is no room on the first W2 they can give you another W2 with the extra boxes on it.  So list them all on 1 W2.  For box 12 just enter it in the next row or box.  It doesn't have to match the box 12a-d etc.
