My state tax shows pending, how could I make sure the state tax is filed

I think I e-filed the federal and Maryland state tax together this noon, I was already notified that my federal tax was accepted, but my state tax still shows pending. Could I be sure that my Maryland state tax was successfully filed?

If your state is still in pending it has not yet been accepted or rejected. Keep waiting.  It takes longer for the state.

Did you e-file?  Did you click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”

When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say that your return was submitted.  The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected.  If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.

The state returns do not usually show they are accepted until the next day. They do take longer.
