You can call the IRS tax refund hotline at 800-829-4477, Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. but more than likely, they may still send the paper check since the bank rejected that deposit.

If your bank rejected your refund, once the IRS receives it back, they have to process and cut a paper check to mail you. They will mail the check to the address on your tax return.
