my irs check was stolen

my irs check was stolen and cashed i did the trace with the company that issued the check which was SBTPG and Civista bank they sent me a affidavit i filled it out and sent it back notarized they say they sent it to the cashing bank so they can reverse the funds do any one know how long this process could take
