my filing was rejected

i was told i mis entered my wifes social security number into our tax returns and needed to fix this. I went into turbo tax and accidently amended the taxes instead of fixing the problem. now i cannot e file and i cannot direct deposit into my account. is there a way to reverse me amending the taxes and just fixing the problem?
