I filed my taxes in Feb. I had to amend them in March, due to the VA not submitting my husband's medical info. In April Turbo tax deducted $125 for their fee's. After constantly checking the "where is my refund tab" on the IRS website, I finally got an update that my refund was adjusted to $5737. I had an offset, so I knew it would be deducted from that amount. On October 5th I received a deposit of $538.08 from Tax Products (SBTPG LLC), Extremely concerned that a significant amount was missing from my return I contacted an IRS Advocacy group. They pulled my info and said they sent $2,689.80 over to Turbo Tax on October 5th. So where is the missing $2,331.72?? I have spent more than 2 hours on the phone trying to contact customer support with turbo tax. I finally got ahold of an older lady and mid conversation, she stops talking but the phone timer kept counting and no one would respond. I called back AGAIN and someone answered and then hung up. FINALLY, my husband was connected to a woman and handed the phone over to me. I tell her what is going on and she explains that I need to contact the 3rd party they use for processing money. She also suggested we call the bank to see if money was intercepted. No it was not. She says she is going to transfer me to a higher manager and what do you know.... the phone call hangs up. This is pure insanity! The 3rd party phone number turbo tax gave be belonged to Green Dot Bank. They are asking for a green dot card, which I never used. They stated that since I don't have Green Dot Bank card they couldn't help me and are not sure why Turbo Tax would even have me call them. Again, WHERE IS MY MONEY TURBO TAX?

TurboTax does not receive any kind of tax refund, federal or state.
If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.
