Look, I already paid for the Plus thing on Turbo Tax and I need to access my tax returns now. How can I do this? Please help.

You didn't say which returns, so I'll assume you mean prior returns.  Have you located the prior returns, and are they in the SAME account as your 2018 return?  When you try to download/print, does it say you need to pay to access?

And so you upgraded your 2018 return to PLUS, but how did you pay?  Did you pay the 19.99 by credit/debit card?   You cannot use the method to pay out of the Federal refund for this purpose.  So if you paid by credit/debit card, any prior returns in the same account should no longer be locked.

Have you already filed the 2018 return, or is it still in preparation?    We can tell you more when you answer all the above questions.

I filed with the same account. I paid with a credit/debit card. I have already filed the 2018 return. When I try to print the return it says that I need to pay to access but I already paid.

I'm not sure "which" returns you are trying to acquire--2018 and/or prior returns.   Your original question title just says "my returns."

In any case, if you already paid for a 2018 online product with credit/debit card (and the charge went through), then you should be able to print your 2018 return, as well as all prior returns in the same account, which should no longer be locked.

Even without PLUS people using Free Edition can still print their already-filed 2018 returns for free through October.

I don't know why your returns didn't unlock.   You'll need to get TurboTax Support to troubleshoot.  Since you now have PLUS, it includes phone support.   Hours 5AM-5PM Pacific (8AM-8PM Eastern.)
