I filed my taxes with Turbo Tax free edition. I am able to file a simple return and shouldn’t have had any issues. After telling me everything was correct I filed the return only to get a letter today from the IRS saying that they need my health insurance information! WHY DIDN’T Turbo Tax have me submit this when I FILED!!?? I now have to submit the form and wait 6-8 weeks to get my refund and as a single mother of 3 I WAS COUNTING ON THIS!!! And the icing on the cake-I am calling for assistance and they are trying to charge me $30 just to talk to someone. I will NEVER use this service again. EVER!! What a joke!!!

TurboTax has no way to know if you have a health form to file unless you tell it.  TurboTax no longer forces everyone to answer health  insurance questions after Congress changed the law that requires it - now it is optional.

It didn’t ask me if I had a form. It said everything was correct. I assumed that I didn’t need to include it because of the changes congress made. The program should have asked me if I had a form. This is BS!

Furthermore-I shouldn’t have to pay to talk to someone about this!

There is no phone support for free unless you upgrade to PLUS.
