I already filed my taxes 1/24 and they’ve been accepted and today on 2/8 I receive a 1099-INT of $17 from my bank. I didn’t know what this was until I googled it. Will I not get my taxes back? What should I do??

If your return is accepted, then mostly likely you will get the refund. However, you will need to file an amended return. You should not try to amend your return until the original return has been fully processed and you have received your refund.
Amended returns can be e-filed or it can be printed and filed by mail. It can take the IRS up to 12 weeks or longer to process them. If you are due a larger refund than on your original return, your amended return should only show the difference and you will receive a separate check for it. If you owe money on your amended return, it will show only the new amount owed, you will have to mail a check with the return.
The option to amend a 2021 tax return will become available later in the tax season.
Please visit Instructions to Amend the Tax Return on more information on how to amend your tax return once the option is available.
