Federal return still hasn't arrived

Filed this year in February and still haven't received my federal. I had a baby last october I claimed him is this normal for it to take a month after claiming a child?

It is  taking a little longer than usual this year to get refunds, especially if you claimed Earned Income Tax Credit or Child Credit.  The IRS did not start processing those returns until 02/15/2017 and did not start issuing refunds until the week of 02/27/2017.  However if it has been over 21 days since you filed and there has been no change with the status of your return on the IRS' website you need to contact them and they can be contacted at 800-829-1040
