Is this normal? I got "Oops- an issue occurred. Please check back shortly." message. My refund is in Pending, but not accepted yet. What should I do?

Am I just to wait for the IRS to accept my return, or does it mean there really is something wrong?

Yes, if your return is pending, you have to wait for the IRS to accept or reject it. 

If you are worried about the deadline, if you submitted your return for e-file before midnight in your time zone, it's considered filed on time even though it's still pending. 

You do have to follow up and make sure it gets accepted, or if it's rejected, correct and re-submit it.
