Is income from Bond ETF's subject to state or federal tax? If so, please explain how and where it is reported.

Income from bond etf's are taxed by both federal and state, unless the etf is for municipal bonds, which is not taxed by federal, but is by state, unless they are from the state you reside in. The income should be reported to you on 1099-int (for interest) and should be entered in the income section of TT as interest.
