IRS Refund Check Resent

Hello Good Day this discussion topic would be I've called on June 9th 2020 and asked the IRS to resend another refund check that was destroyed way back March 27th 2020. The agent then conducted a trace and found the check was not cashed, however she said that it will take four weeks approximately to come to my address, is this true? or. Is it sometimes shorter than the weeks they say

You are asking us to guess how long it will take for the IRS to mail you something in the midst of a pandemic.  The IRS has been short staffed.  Many employees were sent home for a couple of months during the pandemic, and have recently returned.  During that time the IRS has continued trying to process millions of tax returns and millions of stimulus checks.  No one can tell you if your re-issued refund check will get to you sooner than the time the IRS told you it will arrive.  In fact, if you get it in four weeks, be pleasantly surprised.
