My wife and I filed Jointly in 2020. The IRS wants my wife's AGI from 2020. I don't know where that number is. Our 1040 has a combined number.

If you filed as Married Filing Jointly in 2020 then the 2020 AGI is the same for the both of you.

That was it.
I was confused by the ask for my wife's AGI.
Thank you for your help.
Hi, I am unable to upload my tax returns for the same reason. Filed jointly with my wife and now they want the Spouse prior year AGI. This is a TURBOTAX issue, not IRS.
When will TurboTax fix this?
IRS continues to reject my tax file. How do we fix this?
I did put our total AGI and continue to get rejected
Turbo Tax is not rejecting the return, this is the IRS rejecting the return.
If they are rejecting the return and you are positive you are using the correct AGI, you can try to put zero to file your return.
To ensure you have the correct AGI, please follow the instructions here.

I can confirm that putting zero for our AIG fixed our problem and the IRS accepted our federal return. This required me to say that zero was the correct value on the 1040 form (which wasn't true) but at least we got it through.
Good to hear that it worked for you @Gadster.
If rechecking and resubmitting doesn't solve the problem change you AGI to zero when asked what was last years AGI. It does not affect this years filing. I did that and it worked!
I have tried four times. My spouse and I filed Married Jointly in 2020 and again for 2021. I places our AGI (same figure for both) to e-file. It continues to reject my spouse, but not me. Why and how can I fix this?

Enter a 0 (zero) for you spouse's 2020 AGI and e-file again.
Thank you so much!! It worked!!! It would be nice if TurboTax would tell you that!!!!
Thank you! That finally worked for me as well. Wish Turbo Tax could get it together. I had issues where Schwab documents wouldn't upload (that's finally fixed) and now this issue. Very buggy!
To resolve our rejection error IND-032-04 I had to state that we (neither my husband or myself) filed 2020 taxes (assuming this just meant electronically). I also had to enter zero for our AGI, there is not a field in Turbo tax to enter a separate amount for my husband and myself - there is only one field. If I am wrong I couldn't find a way. I had to resubmit my taxes 8 times before saying we did not file last year and using zero for AGI finally got accepted by IRS, still waiting for my State to be accepted. My question is are there any consequences to saying we did not file in 2020 and entering zero for AGI, again the forms were accepted. Thanks
