Income from yardwork

My husband did some yardwork for a neighbor. He was paid around a$1000.00. I know he needs to file a Schedule C and SE. Does the neighbor he did the work for need to file a 1099? If so, would it be the NEC or MISC?

No, the neighbor does not have to provide any form to him for the work done on the neighbor's residence.
