If you are just paying money you owed for 2015 to the IRS you don't have to do anything on the 2016 tax returns.

If you are paying because the IRS changed some numbers on your return (or you amended), then we would need more details. Some changes have no affect on subsequent years, while other changes can carryforward to later years.
