How do I amend my tax return to include a k-1 form

I already submitted my return,  I need to amend it to include a K-1 form

If you already filed, you will need to amend to add it after you receive your refund. If you have already e-filed or mailed the return, you will need to wait until the IRS has accepted or rejected that return.  

• If they reject it, you just make the needed changes to add that K-1 and re-submit the return. 
• If they accept it, you will need to wait until you have received your refund and then amend that return to add that K-1. Amended returns have to be printed and mailed in and take up to 16 weeks to be processed. 

After you have received your refund, you can go here and get instructions https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/3061514 for amending that return.  

And you can follow these steps to get to that portion of the interview to enter your K-1. 

• Log into your account and click the orange Take me to my return button
• Type k1 in the Search box in the top right corner and choose jump to k1
• You should be taken to the page that asks Did you receive any Schedules K-1 or Q? and you can want to answer Yes there
• The next page will ask you to choose the type of Schedule K-1 that you have and you can choose Start next to the type of K-1 you received there and follow prompts.
