If my federal return was accepted, and I paid the remaining tax owed already, why haven’t I received my return?

What "remaining tax owed"   do you mean?    Does your Form 1040 show a refund on line 35a?

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.

Yes, it shows a refund, but says there is a small sum owed in federal tax. I paid the required sum through the IRS direct site, but no change on the turbo tax dashboard. I believe this is inhibiting my refund from going through.

TurboTax receives no information from the IRS when any taxes are paid.  The amount shown on the TurboTax website will remain the same.

Okay. So if the federal return was accepted, I should expect to receive a tax return?
