ID Verify letter from IRS

This information is in my Turbo Tax returns. Why did I get this letter? 5071C .. I thought it was a scam at first, then realized they actually want me to not only verify my ID but submit past Turbo Tax returns and access to all my personal information. I've submitted by returns for several years with you.

Sometimes identity verification requests are random; sometimes they happen for a reason. TurboTax does not get any information or feedback from the IRS after you file your tax return, so no one at TT knows about the request you received from the IRS.

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them. Log out of the account you are in now.
