Solved: I went into Where's My Refund and the status bar was gone, and the message said We are still processing your return we will give you a date soon. Should I be concerned?

If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.

For the status of your tax refund you will need to contact the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://www.sbtpg.com/

Can you please tell me what phone # and options you used to reach a representative. I am overseas and wait on the phone through so many options and not one is right for me( I need to correct a misspelled last name) cant find anyone to speak to so I can find out if I have to file a 1040X.Thank you

You could start your own new thread asking that question about correcting the name spelling, and someone in the forum could probably tell you how to get that corrected. The problem is that is less likely to be seen by a tax expert or forum Champ in this thread. Your comment in this cluttered 12-page thread with multiple users with multiple issues is unlikely to be seen by most. If you want to ask your question in the forum, go to the page below and click the blue button "Ask a Question." In any case, on the IRS page linked below there is a special phone number one can use when phoning the IRS from overseas. Reaching the International Taxpayer Service Call Center may be faster than their regular phone lines, which are swamped by US callers. I believe it's in Philadelphia. But is not a free number, so be mindful of phone charges if you are on hold.

Otherwise here's how to get through the phone tree of the regular US phone line for IRS to reach a live IRS agent, but it's not easy. They are so busy due to staff shortages from the Pandemic, multiple callers with tax questions, stimulus issues, etc.

IRS: 800-829-1040 (7AM-7 PM local time) Monday-Friday

When calling the IRS

First choose your language. Then listen to each menu before making the selection.
Do not choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
Listen to the menu, then press 2 for "personal income tax".
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
It may then ask for your SSN, but do not enter it. Just wait. It will ask for SSN a second time, still do not enter it.
Then it will get "tired", and you'll get another menu. Choose 2 for "personal".
Then in the next menu choose 4 for "all other inquiries", and it should transfer you to an agent but expect a long wait.
I usually use a speakerphone so I can work on something else while waiting.

I finally got my taxes my issue was I had an offset and they took $279 out of my taxes to pay for it and sent me the rest on the 30th

I filed mine in the 7th of this year and they accepted it the next day. My bars went away last week and it says it’s still being processed. I had an offset from a school loan or something and they took that. How long did your ordeal last? I’ve seen some people say 6-7 months. Which would be fine but not knowing anything is what brings the STRESS 🥺🥺🥺

I filed the 11 accepted the 12th and got my refund on the 30th they say 6 weeks but it's sooner just keep checking

Wmr updated for me and explained how much more I was getting and why, it was a 1,100 dollar increase and the wmr tool said I would have it on March 30 and it was there by March 30

Mine took 7 weeks . It just depends on when they get to your particular return... it’s just a lot of errors and they are getting to them fast as they can I’m guessing
