I was asked if I made more money in 2016 than in 2017 which I did but i said I didn’t how do I fix that

You don't need to "fix" this. The program only asks you this question to better guide how it asks interview questions. 

The only things that will affect your tax return are the tax forms you actually receive and enter in the program (Forms W-2, 1099s, etc.)
