Once again,

I submitted my correct banking account information when I filed my taxes through Turbo Tax. My return has been processed and sent to the correct bank. My stimulus was sent to a closed account that was on file with Turbo Tax for 2019 tax year. This is such a simple fix. Send the link to the customers to update account info just as you did for the second stimulus. I will never file with turbo tax again if you all don’t take initiative to correct this issue.

TurboTax will submit the information as entered into the program.  Therefore, TurboTax cannot make any corrections to your banking information once your return is submitted.

Please see the link below for more information from the IRS regarding refunds.  There are several topics regarding routing numbers and banking information that may narrow down why the deposit was sent incorrectly and what you can do to rectify it in the future.

My banking information was entered correctly through Turbo Tax when I filed my 2020 taxes. The IRS sent it to an old account that was filed through Turbo Tax for 2019 taxes. Why didn’t the IRS use the updated banking information for my stimulus. This makes me no longer want to use Turbo Tax because you’re responsible for ensuring that the IRS has my updated banking information, especially if I entered it when I filed my taxes through your company.

Did the IRS completely process the 2020 tax return and issue the 2020 federal tax refund?  If not, then the bank information you entered on the 2020 federal tax return for a direct deposit is not in the IRS database for your name and Social Security number.

I checked the status last week Monday and it stated that it was fully processed and will be sent on 3/17/2021.

I am having the same problem. When the second stimulus came out turbo tax sent me an email to fix it and I did and it came a few days later. The day before I was supposed to get the third stimulus I got an email from turbo tax saying that since I updated it for the second stimulus that it would go through correctly this time. But it didn't. Was supposed to get my stimulus two days ago.
