I reported some income I thought would be on a 1099-NEC but it was reported on a 1099-MISC in box 6. I have already filed, do I need to file an amended return?

It is self employed income, I hadn't received the tax document yet and was not getting clear communication from the sender when I would receive it. I was under the belief it would be reported on a 1099-NEC but it is on a 1099-MISC and the income was reported in Box 6 (Medical and Health Care Payments). The reported amount isn't different, only the form it is on. I am not sure if this will impact my return and if I need to file an amendment or not since the income amount is the same. Will it alter my state taxes too (I file in Louisiana)?

No, you do not need to amend your tax return if you reported the amount correctly.  You may want to make a note and keep it with your tax records just in case the IRS inquires why it was reported on the Schedule C (but this would be highly unlikely).
