I received my refund check but no one will cash it why can't I cash my refund check

It’s a scam!!! I talked to the IRS. Intuit DOES NOT SEND TAX REFUNDS!  I Checked with cashing places and banks and they all said it was fake! I put the wrong account number on my tax forms with turbo tax and IRS sent the fund but then was rejected. So when I got that check in mail I thought wow that was fast. Turns out the IrS says it takes 5 weeks to get a paper check! Hope this helps. .

And it doesn't matter what bank or what check cashing place I use. If I want to deposit or cash my check I should be able to anywhere that cashes checks. And it appears that I'm not the only one that's having trouble with this. I demand answers or I will take my tax service somewhere else from now on.

Take it to a traditional bank deposit the check and they’ll probably hold the check for a few business days but eventually it’ll cash. I went though it with my bank, they held it for 4 business days then released it and now I have my money. ITS NOT A SCAM ITS REAL THEY JUST MESSES UP ON YHE AUTHORIZATION CODES NEEDED TO VERIFY THE CHECKS!

The fact that u responded that way is beneath me and it was in fact a mistake intuit made it had nothing to do with the IRS and I'm currently going through the same thing had to request my payment be sent back to the IRS cause Intuit printed checks with the same check numbers which can't be verified so yea do your research wether u have a bank account or not

I do completely understand the skepticism however I’ve been in this forum talking about the same issue since I received my check. It’s not a scam. If you opted in for the 5 day early thats why you’re receiving a check from intuit payments (TurboTax). I was able to cash the check through my bank SECU but they put a 4 business day hold on it due to it not having an authorization code which means they can’t verify it right away to release the money right away. It can’t be cashed at check cashing places or Walmart it has to be a traditional bank. I wasn’t trying to offend you in anyway. I’m just telling you what worked for me. I was calling  every person I possibly could, I even called the bank that the checks were coming from they said it’s not a scam it’s a real check. I just couldn’t wait another 10 weeks for it to be sent back to the irs. I would show you my bank statement but that’s very personal.

Don’t believe this everybody seems to have the same check number you’re going to end up owning your bank, the money. Check number ending in 1001 . I read so many of these comments, and everybody has the same number

Bank of America rejected mine twice!

Mine was rejected by my bank at first as well 3 times. I physically went to the branch 3 times, they said they didn’t have an authorization code to verify the check so they would have to hold it. I told them no because I wanted the money right then. Later on I spoke with TurboTax again and they gave me the deposit it at a traditional bank open a new account with another traditional bank or send it back to the IRS and wait 10 weeks. I certainly couldn’t wait 10weeks. I called my bank and let them know the situation again they said they’ll hold the check for 4 business days to verify the account and routing number the money is coming from. I deposited it using my mobile app waited 4 business days and my return was released yesterday.

The same thing is happening to me. My bank is saying they can’t verify the check so therefore it cannot be cashed/ deposited.
