Should I amend my federal return?  Maybe ... what did they change?

Will I get a refund for having had to pay additional state taxes?  Additional state taxes paid in 2022 will be reported on the 2022 return.

@dangilmartin - what was the item that CA changed? 

if it was an income item, it MAY effect your federal return

if it was part of the tax calculation, it only will affect your FEDERAL return in the year you pay the additional tax to CA and only if you itemize your deductions
