I tried the add a state option.  But then I answered none of the amendment reasons apply and I was sent backwards.  What are the steps after add a state?

After you click on Add a state you should be able to click on Federal on the left side of the screen.  That will take you to the various sections under Federal - Wages and Income, Deductions and Credits, Health Insurance, Other Tax Situations

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.  See screenshot

This will take you back to the 2018 online tax return.
