I paid twice!

I paid taxes once through my bank and once via credit card.....double payment! I can’t find a way to request the second payment back and due to Covid19....no one is there to answer the phones at IRS. What do I do?

In general, when the IRS processes your tax return, they will find out that you have paid your tax due twice and will issue you a refund of the overpayment by check.
